For anyone who may have lived in both, could you please tell me what differences I may find. We like the idea of the ocean being close, but we also like the idea of a larger city with maybe more cultural stuff to do. Any thoughts?

Thanks

Rob

How about a smaller city with more cultural stuff to do? Greensboro is larger but feels about the same size as Savannah because of Savannah's more urban and larger downtown...and Savannah's cultural scene outdoes Greensboro by a mile, although GSO does have the advantage of having Winston-Salem right next door - which happens to be a wonderful arts city on it's own.

I've lived in Greensboro and only visited Savannah, but IMO Savannah wins hands down. I do love Greensboro, but I have to be honest.

It really depends on what you are looking for. To me I agree with Deacon j that they do fell about the same size. However Savannah is more urban.Greensboro and Winston-salem do have some good cultural establishments however Savanah does win this battle.

What does Winston have that Greensboro doesn't?
