What's the latest on HondaJet. Anyone know when they might start hiring for machinists/manufacturing positions. Website says late this year or early next year but you never know.
Honda Aircraft Company’s new state-of-the-art facility that is currently under construction in Greensboro, North Carolina, at the Piedmont Triad International Airport.
Early next year the first phase of the construction effort will be completed with the establishment of the company’s new world headquarters, incorporating all type certification, sales, marketing, service support, and continued research and development activities.
The second phase of construction will incorporate a production facility for the final assembly of all structural components and parts, aircraft system assembly and installation, completion of the interior, and painting.
I also read the engines will be manufactured in Burlington.
This article in today's Greensboro News & Record gives some updated job information.
