New to this forum (Greensboro, Kernersville: home, malls, transportation)

I have been hanging out in the RDU forum since I was focused on that area.
We went down (my husband and 2 young kids) last month. My husband was not all that excited by it. He found it so busy, full of strip malls etc.
Coming from Maine, it was a huge culture shock.
He is a truck driver by trade and is now looking towards the Greensboro area.
He has been reading up on Kernersville?? Can anyone give any insight?
Is there work there? He does not want to go over the road. He needs to be home every night.

Kernersville is growing, he could work for any trucking line in WS/Greensboro/HP because of the easy commute. I have a client who works for Roadway and he isn't home every night, but he is home quite a bit. Wacky hours tho. Tons of opportunity here for his job.

Kernersville is in the center of the triad, a fairly large metro area.
Due to the number of highways and quality of roads and the
international airport, the triad is increasingly becoming a transportation center. Of course, Fedex will be operational not too long from now.
There are many job opportunities.
