I'll be working near Greensboro airport, I'll be there in a couple days to look at the area to decide do I really want to live there. That are some cities or areas that are close that I would want to look at (I have kids) and what are areas I want to stay away from (due to crime, distance from work, just not a good area). I am coming into the area blind lol.

Northwestern Greensboro is a good place to start looking. Oak Ridge, Summerfield, Colfax, etc. I live in north High Point and am a very happy former yankee living here. Convenient to everything and feels as safe as any place these days. From any of the above places it should only take 10-15 minutes to get to work at a job near the airport. Housing in Oak Ridge can be pretty pricey and some areas of Summerfield are as well. I can give you the name of a realtor who knows that area well and would be happy to show you around or just answer some questions for you. PM me if you so desire.

I don't think I need a realtor, I'm only going to rent.

I agree about Oak Ridge, Summerfield and Colfax. I would also add Stokesdale and parts of Kernersville.

Well, if you feel like driving, there's tons to do. The Children's museum in downtown greensboro, the site of the Civil Rights museum (not open yet, but it's the woolworth's where the first Sit In took place), Battleground Park, the Natural Science Center (also has a new zoo!)...

What do you like to do? That would help me narrow it down.
