Info Moving From Ohio To North Carolina (Charlotte: 2014, low crime)

Me and my Gf (soon to be wife) and our 6 month year old son is thinking about moving from Ohio to somewhere in North Carolina I Lived in Charlotte When I Was 16 For about a year And Loved It But I Know A lot Changed Since Then but im sure its still a great place to raise a family im 22 shes 22 so were young and want to be around alot of things to do together as well as a family and a great school system for our son with low crime.our budget is around $600-$700 a month were young just looking to start small and work up. Thanks
