I'm looking to move to the Winston-Salem area in the next few months and I've been reading apartment reviews for those in the area that I've been considering. I've gotten a lot of mixed messages so I'm not really sure of what to expect. Basically, I've only got a budget of about $450-480/month and it has to be pet friendly so there a whole lot of options available to me.
The two that I'm considering the most are:
The Ambercrest apartments:
Winston-Salem NC Apartments for Rent: The Ambercrest, Winston-Salem, North Carolina (I drove around the complex when I was in town previously. It seems alright, but it could be kind of shady. The reviews I've read report a lot of muggings and breakins, so now safety is a huge concern...)
Ashton Oaks:
Ashton Oaks Apartment Homes Apartment Rentals (I haven't seen this one in person, but the prices seem unbeatable. There is also a lack of reviews reporting safety issues, but the safety rating is lower on the apartment ratings website than the Ambercrest apartments.)
Another option I'm considering is The Arbors:
The Arbors Apartments - Winston-Salem, NC 27104 | Apartments for Rent (This apartment has a better safety rating, but it might be a little out of my price range).
Can anyone enlighten me any further about the reputations of these apartment complexes? I'd really appreciate it!
