My mother-in-law in Greensboro has a large, handwoven Oriental carpet she needs to sell before she puts her house on the market. It is very large and probably worth at least a couple of thousand dollars. Does anyone know of a good rug/carpet place that would be a fair place to sell it to?
As mentioned, it is huge, so we would either need someone to come over to look at it or be pretty certain that the place we bring it to is interested in buying it.
Thanks for any ideas you can give me! I know my husband tried one place, but never heard back from them.
I don't know about Greensboro, but there's a place in Winston-Salem called Oriental Treasures that might fit the bill. 855 Reynolda Rd Winston-Salem, NC 27104, (336) 722-9947.
I have never dealt with them personally. I don't have any rugs that cost more than my college education.

Keep in mind if you sell it to a retailer you will likely get wholesale or less.

Thanks, everyone! I will have my husband call the recommendations. I know that he will get probably half of what they will sell it for, but this is an item that will not be easy to sell and too bulky to store or sell ourselves. Thank you!
I've actually driven from Raleigh to your area to buy a Asian rug. I found it on Craigslist. I'd try to sell it there first. Use GREAT photos.
