My husband and I will be relocating to NC around the middle of June. I have accepeted a job in Greensboro. We are looking for a rental home within 30 min or so to Greensboro. Looking for something rural with a small town feeling. Interested in Jamestown, Kernerville, Burlington, or open for ideas. We do not have much time lol. Rent preferable under $1000 or a rent to own would be ideal.

Then don't put yourselves in the position of having to make *the* choice right off.

Find something CHEAP near the hospital in the G'boro that you can rent short term
or even up to a year. Then use that time to poke around in peace for exactly what you want.
Heck, you may even decide to buy at that point.

And also spent a week there last year. Looking around the state. And talking with people who live there.I find that's the best way to look at a new area. I like Mebane, but if you're going to work in Greensboro there are closer places to live.

Look in Fisher Park for a rental. Nice neighborhood, walk to the hospital (if you are working at Cone proper) and to downtown Greensboro. That would be a nice base for you to start looking for a more permanent spot.
