I am looking for a newer house, say built 2000 and on in the area. I have looked at zillow since i don't live in the area. All I seem to find is houses built between 1940's to 1980's. Can anyone point me to a newer subdivision in a new area of winston or the surrounding areas like lewisville or clemmons.

There's a ton of newer housing south of I-40 in Winston. Also plenty around Kernersville, Clemmons, Lewisville, etc. A good bit on the NW side of Winston beyond Peace Haven, too. Some of that's quite pricey, which is also the case with many newer homes around Clemmons.

Really the only place that newer homes are hard to find is in the older, core neighborhoods (Ardmore, West End, Buena Vista, the older part of Sherwood Forest, etc.)

If you use a site like Zillow or Trulia, you can get a map of area listings and set a filter to only show homes built after 2000 or whatever. There are hundreds.

There's plenty available for that price range. Not sure if this link will work, but these are SF homes built after 2000 for under 209k. Scores to choose from. Homes For Sale & Real Estate - Zillow

So I looked at those two neighborhoods and they are no where near 209 K at the most. Most of the homes are priced 300 K and up

Oh I just read your original post...didn't see a price range. There are others around the area that are less expensive, but the names escape me at the moment. Check River Gate...River Gate Community located in Clemmons, NC | Shugart Enterprises, LLC
