Herein we list our favorite ice cream places in the Triad. Extra points for homemade, non-franchise places, or soft-serve places with dipped-top cones. One point deduction for those ridiculously expensive add-your-own-toppings/pay-by-weight frozen yogurt places.
In Clemmons, there's a small local restaurant called "Time to Eat"--yep, odd name, but they have excellent homemade ice cream (and good food, too). I think the banana is my favorite, with the baklava and black cherry running neck and neck for second place. But all of their flavors are very good.
There's also Blue Ridge Ice Cream, located inside Dewey's bakery at Thru-way. The ice cream is very good, but it's a bit overpriced IMO, so it's not one of my go-to places. Still worth mentioning, though.
Yeah, been meaning to check the place out myself. I've said downtown needed an ice cream place but I just haven't gotten to it yet.
I'm a fan of Cold Stone. I like Gnam Gnam too.
Can we throw in milkshakes too? Because Fincastles and Emma Keys top my list for milkshakes.
Got check out eats but the place I'm talking about is called Grass Fed Burger Bar basically Grass-Fed and The Creamery were supposed to be one restaurant but the guy just separated them into two different spots.
