Someone who has lived in the Triad area a lot longer than me could probably tell you much better in terms of that particular area, but from what I've heard, the "mall" area is not the best area to be at. I have no idea about Hill Crest, specifically though.
Hillcrest used to be a public golf course that was closed a few years ago. I have no knowledge of the builder, but I personally wouldn't want to deal with the traffic being so close to the mall.
I looked up the development and it's really not that close to the mall. Not so much that you'd have to deal with mall traffic, really. Mall traffic on Stratford drops off a good bit south of Hanes Mall Blvd., so what you'd get is less stop-and-go mall traffic and more like faster traffic headed to and from Clemmons. And I don't know why you'd have any specific problems in that area. Schools aren't an issue, right?
I just said close to mall to try to describe kind of where it was. So you feel it is really not that close to the mall and in the case of mall traffic? No kids right now but maybe in 2-3 years. I live off robinhood road now in a house i am renting and like the area but not the subdivision but i have looked at the houses for sale around here and def out of my price range. I have never heard of true homes so I was unsure of the quality of the builder due to the houses starting at 155 and up. They have a house that is 2700 sf and it only starting at 170 which seems on the cheap side so I was concerned.
