We were through Mount Airy recently and wonder if anyone here is familiar with the general area and surrounding countryside.
If someone was looking for a nice spot to settle down, say within 20 minutes of downtown, what would be the best place to look? Ideally rural setting with abit of land. Know that each town has some areas and "pockets" that are more desirable than others and that's what we are looking for.
Town seems pretty spread out - looking for suggestions on areas to look into or to stay away from.
Have worked in Mt Airy and found it to be nice and the people friendly. Look up the area where US 601 runs from Yadkinville.
