The reason I ask - is that car rentals from the Greensboro airport spiked from 252$ for the week to 601$- for a compact. <YIKES>
I checked all the major car rental companies at the airport and they all have a similar spike in price for just that week. The week before and the week after are at the much lower price.
Luckily I locked in a few weeks ago at the 252$ price which I thought was high, but I figured I would lock in anyways. Boy am I glad I did!!. I was down in the area last week and paid 119$ for a full size - so I originally thought that the $252 price was nuts.
Anyways just wondering if there was some large event like a race, convention, concert or something that would make the price go up 150% just for that one week.
I was just a little surprised to see the car prices take such a dramatic price jump - capitalism at its finest!!
