Sunny, you may be correct, and probably are, but dutchman, I would call and ask the Lexington City School board and the Davidson county school board to see what they each say. I know to move out of your district withing the county, you have to ask each school's principal permission to: 1)be released from the school you're in and 2)be approved for the school you want into. If they say ok, then you're in the school you request. You may have to give a reason for wanting to move. It's worth a try and all they can say is "no".
This is true all they can say is no but I remember either it was in 70's they put a stop to out of city students attending Lexington I dont know if it is vice versa back then Lexington was a top notch school however.
I am just glad they left off Arbor Acres in the future annex maps but it would be nice if my mom had yard waste pick up in the fall.
Call the district or a school to check if they say yes you probably will have to drop off and pickup your student
as a product of LSHS I can say that it ain't so bad. Many good teachers still there who actually care.
def check with the school board- if the school you are placed in isn't meeting certain standards you can "opt out" and attend another school.
good luck!
