Hello! My wife and I may be moving to Greensboro for her job. How lgbt friendly is this area? Where should we look to rent a house for up to $1300 monthly in a safe place with some beautiful nature around us?

I think Greensboro is fairly LGBT friendly, especially the closer you get to the downtown area. Couldn't tell you where the LGBT communities are, specifically, but I've found GSO to be pretty diverse. My assumption is areas close to downtown or around UNC-G are probably more open-minded to alternative lifestyles.
Now, as far as houses to rent around nature, are you looking to live more in a country/rural setting? If so, that would probably be more Northwest Greensboro - which seems to be a bit more conservative (although I don't know that for sure.)

One of my friends is a real estate agent that could advise you. I've known him for 50 years. He's gay. Message me if you want his contact information.

I'm gay myself and can tell you via visits and research Greensboro is pretty LGBT-friendly. I would check out neighborhoods around Moses Cone Hospital or Guilford College if looking for safer areas with lots of greenery/trees.
Very friendly, especially downtown, as others have noted. FYI, Greensboro's Pride will be held on Sept 15th in the downtown area near S Elm. Check it out if you happen to be in town (or make a trip!).

We also need any volunteers if anyone wants to help out.
You shouldn't have any troubles in within the Greensboro metro. The banjos get louder the farther out of town you get. I've lived in 4 distinct areas around town over the past 9 years (W. Wendover, Jamestown, Brassfield, and Lindley Park) with no issues.
