Looking more indepth into this situation. And what this ultimately means for the triad.

Greensboro is losing VF corp to denver colarodo which account for around 86 senior jobs, however it's not losing VF as stated by VF, the headquaters will be relocated along with a new division housing VF's active wear brands that will bring 800 new jobs, but the vast majority of VF's hub opperations and current jobs will still stay in Greensboro which include 1200+ jobs, split between several smaller companies within the VF unbrella.

The rather interiesting thing is, kansas city announced that since Lee Brand corp has split with VF corp, it will move it's Kansas city world headquarters to Greensboro in the start of 2019, Lee Brand Corp has been in kansas for over 100 years and has been a very important part of kansas's economy generating 2.5 billion in revenue, Lee Brand is supposed to merge with another aperal company to create a new larger pubicly traded clothing corporation which will be headquartered in Greensboro, at the moment it's not known how many new jobs this will bring to the triad. However the kansas headquarters employs about 400 people currently. And Lee will be moving it's entire operation to Greensboro.

LEE brand headquaters in Kansas City MO.

Kansas city Journal has described the move to the east coast as "a crushing blow to the state"

Obviously the best scenario would be for VF to stay in Greensboro. However this is not a bad deal at all. The new parent company to be based in Greensboro with the Wrangler and Lee brands under its belt will still be a major company and a global leader in denim jeans. Not to mention most jobs will stay and Lee will bring jobs to Greensboro. It could have been far worse and a much bigger blow to the city.

far worse like VF taking thousands of jobs and leaving Greensboro with millions of square feet in vacant office space, even worse could have been Lee Brand moving to somewhere else taking with it hundreds to thousands of new job posibilities.

However, 1,278 people still have jobs in Greensboro.

VF is keeping it's existing opperations in Greensboro. Downtown/office park.

NewCo, a new fortune 500 company is basing it's HQ and global opperations in Greensboro, which will be the (largest denim company in the world)

Kansas based Lee Brand will move it's HQ and gloval opperations from kansas to Greensboro.
