I know this is the South and the Pig is king when it comes to barbecue. However, I love beef, especially beef ribs and beef brisket. Does the food have a "Texas" barbecue style going on? Is the food good? I plan on being in Winston-Salem over the Labor Day weekend.
Yes, it has the Texas thing going on, and it is very good. Just don't call it barbecue around here...no one will know what you're talking about. Just tell people "I had some good beef cooked over coals the other day..." and you will avoid sounding dumb, haha.
You should also consider Bib's in downtown W-S. Good stuff...been on the "Barbecue Pitmasters" TV show, if that means anything.
