Got any suggestions for someone to hire to build a fireplace on screened porch in Greensboro, NC area?

What are you looking for ? Ambiance ? Heat source ? Wood burning with a brick Firebox/chimney ? Gas with a prefab firebox ? Wood burning stove with an external pipe flue ? If the porch in not on a concrete slab, are the floor joists of proper size to accommodate the additional weight of any brick work ?

Brick work will require a mason, prefab can be installed by a carpenter, wood stove and flue pipe can be installed by a retail wood stove shop.....

Assuming the materials and area around it will allow for a fireplace at all (codes etc)...
just about any competent carpenter should be able to do the "modify and install" work.


Have you contacted the County to see what the requirements are?
