Looking for places to take pictures of my wife at. Ideally it would be private places with some sort of backdrop. Like old buildings, bridges, water, landscape and etc. I know some people have to know of some out of the way places like this. Some secret hide-a-ways....

We are in the Mooresville area, so in this area would be great or the Iredell County area. Actually anywhere west of Winston-Salem. We can drive around and find places, but was wondering if people knew of specifics as we won't have a lot of time.

Since you posted in the Triad forum, I'd suggest Reynolda Gardens, SECCA, or Graylyn in W-S. They're all very near each other, as well as the Wake Forest campus. Old Salem and Bethabara also provide scenic, attractive backdrops. None of these are "private" but the first places that came to mind.

Default Mabry's Mill

We found a beautiful place a little over an hour north on the Blue Ridge Parkway in VA. Info is below. Great for pics.

(broken link)Mabry's Mill Restaurant and Gift Shop - Blue Ridge Parkway MP 176 (276)952-2947. A historic water-powered grist mill, sawmill and blacksmith shop provide a view of pioneer life along the Parkway. Self-guided tours.
