I am looking into moving to Greensboro with one of my girl friends and we want to be in the middle of all the college kids. Any advice where to begin to look?

What apartments are good etc

There are several...try campus crossing. There are also some pretty good condo deals out there right now.

College Hill used to be the place to live when I went to UNC Greensboro. Tate Street/Spring Garden/Mendenhall/Market Street...it was a very gay, college student, party people, fraternity-sorority area. But that was like 200 years ago.

Do want to live in a apt. complex or a smaller apartment (duplex, triplex, quad)?

plenty of older homes and homes split into apartments near UNCG, GSO college and downtown in College Hill, Glenwood, Lindley Park etc. if you want to avoid the "APARTMENT" kind of thing. If you don't mind it, there's tons of shiny new apartments nearby too. Just gotta get out there and drive it, unfortunately.
Good luck!
