Hi All.... Just curious what would be an average drive time from Charlotte airport to downtown winston-salem? I looked on google but it does not really take in to account for traffic and stuff? Will be landing in Charlotte around 3.00pm Thursday afternoon?

Of course, it depends on the time of day, but if traffic is normal from Charlotte Douglas to WS via I85 and US52, you're prolly looking at approx. 1hr 10-20 mins.

If you're waiting for luggage, delay, etc... traffic could be bad. I wouldn't expect more than 1hr 30mins or so tho.

Traffic starts getting VERY heavy on I-85 about 330pm - 4pm...VERY...on a good day. And when you get to Concord Mills where I-85 goes gown from 4 lanes on each side to 2 lanes...it bottle necks there everyday. I would allow closer to 1hr 30-45 minutes at least.
