I am a little nervous about moving South.I love music, a groovy downtown and want to rent a cute house that has character. I am headed for Greensboro and worried about the offereings. Heard from other posts some great housing leads, what says you 20-30 y/o of greensboro?!

You can find an interesting house in Sunset hills, Lindley Park, Fisher Park, Latham Park areas (I'm missing some areas). I dunno about a "groovy" downtown. And there are not really any good music venues either.

There are a bunch of colloges/universities in GSO, so the closer to them you lived, the more "groovy" the area would be, as well as the music offerings. UNC-Greensboro is the largest.

From a Buckeye, please stay in Michigan, nothing going on down here If you're looking for a "groovy" area, UNC-G area is probably your best bet, but be careful, there are some shady areas around there. Mainly south of campus is sketchy I believe. Downtown is much more upbeat than Winston Salem if bars/clubs are your scene. Good luck on your move...
