Hi;
I live in Mass my parents moved to piedmont about A year ago an love it me and my fiance are thinking of moving down there in the spring right now he is employed as A tow truck driver /mechanic for A small company we are wondering what the towns around piedmont are like we have both been wanting to move out of Mass for awhile my children are all grown an on there own and we just want A more laid back way of life up here we have high taxes high crime low jobs and very rush rush angry attitudes all around us my parents make it sound like compared to mass they are in heaven just looking for some honest feed back on the area
thanks
Piedmont, to my knowledge is a pretty rural area just southwest of the developed immediate Greenville area, in Anderson County (if memory serves). Many of the suburbs of Greenville as well as the town of Easley (in Pickens County) are close by. It's not much of a drive into Greenville proper either, for shopping, dining or business.
Let us know what kind of area & housing you're looking for, and in no time, many on this board will no doubt chime in with helpful info. Welcome, and good luck!
thank you
we prefer country or small town we are not looking to buy A house but to rent when we get down there he will be looking for work my parents have told us the job market is slightly better there then it is up here we are mostly looking for low crime rates I understand there is crime every where but hoping for A little calmer life
One word of advice: if you're inquiring about the Upstate, please use proper punctuation (and what's with all the capitalized A's) - your run-on sentence left me a little dizzy - now, back to regular programming

I am very sorry if I offended you,I didn't know correct punctuation was A requirement to living in the Upstate.My parents say everyone is very friendly and helpful,they think we will love it down there....IDK

no offense taken and, no, not a requirement - it's just much easier to read if statements are delineated with periods/punctuation (this is a pet peeve of mine - I suppose this is pervasive in the "text messaging era" )
