WYFF News 4 showed video footage of serious storm damage in the city of Easley from last night. This is very unfortunate, since so much work has been done recently to revitalize the downtown area into an attractive place.

I live not too far from here, the wind actually picked my gazebo that was anchored with 50lb blocks on each end up and smashed it into the ground, not to mention taking part of my 6ft wooden fence down and having no power for 12 hrs, ugh!

I was at Michaels pizza downtown during this. It was very scary! The doors blew open and we saw the wind whipping. We all ran into the hallway and bathroom. The flashing hit my vehicle. The steeple on the church behind was bent over after. The damage was unreal. I am thankful no one was injured!

We are definitely thankful that no one was injured!! Time to put it back together! Sorry for the store owners & hope they get our little town back together quickly. There were some trees down on McDaniel--one on a house and one on a car.

....and Easley had just finished streetscape improvements, including many of the street lights that were toppled. Hope it comes back better than before!

We live over by Old Stagecoach Rd and there were a lot of trees down near the entrance to the subdivision there and Cherokee Dr. We were also without power for over 12 hours but had no damage even though we were near a house that had 4 or 5 trees fall.

I saw the tornado warning on TV flashing , the rain was coming down , lightening, so I was getting ready to grab my kitty cat and go hide in the bathroom. Scarey...

Soon after that it died down ...grateful everyone is okay

They confirmed it was a high F-1 but they're saying it started in downtown and Easley and I think it started on Old Stagecoach and bounced up and down on it's way to down town. You can actually follow the path of damage if you drive around. I did not hear any sirens or see any warning on TV. We had a severe thunderstorm warning that had already expired 30 minutes before the tornado hit.
