If I had to choose one store, I would rather have REI over Bass Pro Shops but I still love to shop at both of them due to the fact I fish, hike, and bike a lot.

I think they're different enough, AND I-85 provides enough "passing through" traffic that both can be successful in our area. Heck a BPS here could catch a good number of folks planning to head towards A'ville before they even get there!
