I usually cook a pretty juicy turkey in the oven every year, but this year I was thinking about doing something different.

Buckey's BBQ is offering a smoked 12 - 14 lb turkey for $36. Has anyone tried one of these?

Or do you have other suggestions. I know Bi-Lo, Publix, etc...sells turkeys also, not sure of the quality of those though.

I've had Bucky's Smoked Turkeys for the past 5 years. Yeah, they are definitely worth it.

That is good to know. Thanks! We usually do our own also but with everyone coming at different times of the day it makes it hard. I might try this myself.

I purchased a tasty smoked turkey at The Chopping Block in Powdersville last year. Not nearly as delicious as the phenomenal smoked meats in south-central Pennsylvania, but definitely worth the price in SC considering the lack of traditional smokehouses here.

I haven't had a turkey from there but I have gotten a few smoked chickens and they are delicious. I will definitely be ordering a turkey for Thanksgiving.

Ordered one for pickup on Thanksgiving morning at the Roper Mountain Road location (the only one open on Thursday). Pick up at other locations must be done on Wednesday.
