Everyone around where? Your house?

The average person in Greenville county makes a third of what you claim. The average household brings in 45k.

Everyone in my circle. Meaning people I associate with on a regular basis. I and my kids are the only ones in my household, they are too young for work. Like I said. Median means half make more, half make less. Do you disagree with this definition? There are many things that influence income. Education, skill set, and association are some examples. Do you disagree with this? I would say upbringing, but I've proved that you can break away from that.

And if half the people make less than $37,300, that means that far from "everyone" makes $100k or just below. Such a claim is laughable.

Read my post over! I said EVERYONE IN MY CIRCLE! FRIENDS, ASSOCIATES, MOTHER, AUNT, ETC.! Are we clear now? List the 5 people you spend most your time with. You will generally make about what they make. Mindsets are different when it comes to economics. Engineers generally hang with engineers, lawyers with lawyers, etc. or those close to their business.

Saying that Greenville's economy is in shambles is also laughable.

I agree redcliffe...with regularity the news reports new business/growth in the Upstate.
The original point of the post, as seen by the author, was that the local economy was bad and that we (locals) were blind to this "fact". How much the prosperous redcliffe family earns is not germane, although apparently vexing to some. I say, good for you, you mother, your aunt.................. I may be up for adoption soon if I can give my mother the slip, Dad.

Education in the right field and hard work, and just recognizing opportunity when it comes knocking. Plus, the right association creates more opportunity. Sometimes it truly is knowing the right people.

Why are you listening to real estate agents? You know they always have a hidden agenda!
