I'd love affordable housing in the downtown district and some night time entertainment. As far as we say we've come, it still looks like they roll up the sidewalks at 8 on weekdays, 10 on weekends, and don't even bother to roll them out at all on Sundays. I also think the Chiqoula failed because it was trying to do a limited number of high scale condos in this kind of economy, which really wouldn't have been such a great idea before it either. I'd so much rather see buildings that could hold maybe a couple hundred apartments going for the 500 or 600 range.

Yeah, but the Chiq building failed for more than just that reason. The businesses that they tried to keep down through that section were not really good ideas. Probably the best among them was the private club, but that's a draw in itself because the business they would recieve beyond the regular midnight limit for Saturday night would unlikely make up for the customers lost at having to pay for membership.

I think we can all agree that having more jobs in downtown would get more people into downtown.

I just think Anderson needs to move downtown to a better environment like where off of exit 19 instead dead in the middle of Anderson they can turn old downtown into some like a historic site or fancy shopping centers but iff they move it off off exit 19 they will get more bussiness and mula cause it's already restaurants and hotels and condos on exit 19 it's bben my dream to do something like this ooh and plus there is a lake front and they are already talking battery park in Anderson that could be a big success

Clemson Blvd and the whole north side has been the life blood for probably 30 years now, but you can't just pick up bags and move downtown. It is where it is...cities don't move, they just either grow or die. It's not a matter of pushing the city to where is already popular, but making that area and areas in more directions than just the north side to be desirable. It has to be a place that people want to flood into. I feel like we're almost 'capped out' because Clemson Blvd from Whitehall Rd/Concord Rd to Exit 19 has reached 92-95% of it's maximum potential (without densifying) and Hwy 81 is going to see them same strips and sprawl take over in a similar fashion within 10-15 years.

Where will people develop and build once that happens?
-The west side perhaps? No they say! They're waiting for the lake to dry up completely so they can determine it's full potential.
-The east side perhaps? No they say! Apparantly no one wants to shop, walk, or if avoidable, even drive their car near where black people are in abundance.
-The south side perhaps? No they say! There's many things that could be said, but I think the best way to say it is they just want to pretend it doesn't exist...and designed the drainage system with the hopes that another heavy rain could finally make it disappear forever.
