After living in Oman for 7 years, my family decided to make the move back to the states... and as we are not job dependant, my husband let me choose our new home base! So I began a search on google for "family friendly, safe, affordable and nice climate"
In the top ten was Greenville and after reading this forum and encouragement from people who have lived, worked or traveled here, I bought a little car in the Midwest (where I originate) and made the drive to my new home! Have NO idea where we will end up purchasing a home
Have NO idea where my kiddos will go to school
Have NO idea where I'm going when I'm driving
Yes, that IS ME changing lanes suddenly and asking directions at stop lights! But there is one thing I know, after 4 days in this place... It's the PEOPLE that make this place great! The scenery is breathtaking and the cool air is sweet... but the people are most often cheery. I was in a situation here where I would normally expect to be pushed aside for the next customer....but, I was not only treated with kindness (travelers rest)... but they took time and patience to help me with my broken debit card. People smile here at strangers! So, thanks Greenville natives for being so welcoming to a newcomer.
