Hi there....
We just came back from a house hunting trip in your lovely town and thankfully, we found a place to rent in Simpsonville on a short term basis! We had a great time, just driving around in the beautiful weather looking at the all the area has to offer. We are now thinking about the areas mentioned in the title. We like the homes out in the middle of nowhere, or if we have to, in the older subdivisions, with a bit of land and mature trees, kind of woodsy I guess. We really don't like the newer ones, with small lots, and the houses on top of each other. Can anyone list some of the subdivisions that might be worth looking into? I have been using the Exit Upstate site, which is good, but I have no idea which ones are the new ones and which are the older ones. Maybe this is too broad of a search, I don't know, but I had to ask...Thanks

Default Hi- We looked in Simpsonville also and found our home

Hi
We are a soon to be transplant from PA and also were looking for an older subdivison within Greenville area(City and surrounding county areas).
We found several extremely mature (larger lots, mature trees, more privacy) areas of homes, nice homes by looking in these neighborhoods
Dove Tree (Greenville)
Botany Woods( Greenvile)
Parkins Mill(Greenville)
Gower Estates(Greenville)
Holly Tree(Simpsonville)

now, the pricing structure varies, you have older homes(20-45 yrs of age) and most have all the land already developed so there is no surprises.

Each seemed to be easy to get into and out of area and into Greenville proper or the interstate to go east/north/south.

We bought in Simpsonville and found most homes we saw there (4BDR/ 2 story with about 1/2-1.0 acre of ground) were in $225-319K RANGE. Not sure what price range you want but if you need some opinions, I spent over 5 mos researching areas in Greenville based on our home needs to come up with our list of homes we saw when we were down there 2 weeks ago.

Our realtor is great, very patient and willing listen, if you want I can give you her name and number, shoot me a PM.

The buyers market is great and you should not have any problems finding older homes in almost price range.

What other questions do you have?

thanks

You may want to check out Woodgreen in Fountain Inn. It is within 3 miles of the "stuff" on Fairview Road, is close to the Fairview Street exit of 385 and has a great feel. We live in a new neighborhood with good sized lots but small trees. They have wonderful trees, and it seems very peaceful.
