Rite Aid's prices on over the counter items were ridiculously High. That's why I never shopped there.

Saw that too. Why would you wait in a line that long when there is one a few miles down the road in Taylors?

Rite Aid has struggled for years against CVS and Walgreen's. I wonder if the acquisition of Eckerd was successful.
I wish some of these drugstores would bring back the lunch counter. I remember Eckerd always had a good hot dog, and many of these soda fountains always had good ice cream and milkshakes. For some reason back in the 90ś all the newer drugstore designs began eliminating their once popular lunch counters. Wish they could return.

Lidl has not officially announced a store in Greenville County yet. I would consider it a possible market participant.

Aside from its five stores presently open and under construction, I have not heard of any additional Walmart Neighborhood Stores for Greenville County. Ditto for a third Fresh Market in Greenville County.

It remains to be seen whether Harris Teeter and/or Lowe's Foods will succeed as they enter and re-enter the market.

Bi-Lo, Ingle's and Publix should not be unnoticed. Some chains will add or replace stores while another chain may close stores.

Default Lidl #1064, 2047 Wade Hampton Boulevard, Greenville, South Carolina 29615-1036

It appears Germany-based discount grocer Lidl has secured its first store site in Greenville County: Lidl #1064, 2047 Wade Hampton Boulevard, Greenville, South Carolina 29615-1036. This store would occupy sites previously occupied by Parker Music and Hess.

So is Lidl comparable to Aldi?

Yes, Lidl is comparable to Aldi in being in the discount grocery segment. Its United States stores, about 36,200 square feet in size, will be larger than Aldi.
