there used to be a BBQ place there, where 5 Guys is. It didn't last long.
Yeah, Digger's BBQ was there once upon a time. I seem to remember them trying to be a local chain around 12 years ago. I think they had one location closer to the Laurens Rd. side of Haywood, they were in that spot by Haywood Mall, they had another across from the K-Mart on Wade Hampton, and I'm probably forgetting one. I'm pretty sure they were the first BBQ place I tried when I first moved to Greenville! I think their only active location is deeper down Wade Hampton in Taylors. Haven't tried that one out yet.
How is lodging around Haywood Mall? I would not mind seeing another mid-rise hotel going up with small convention and conference space with a restaurant.

A full service Marriott would not fit on that site. One of Marriott's brands could locate there instead.
PDQ would great at the old Jack In the Box behind the Haywood Mall at ,500 Congaree , RD I would like to see a tropical Thme seafood eat place or a old fashion candy store
I would like to see a very good seafood restaurant open along Congaree Road or Haywood Road. Harbor Inn does not impress me that much.
