Brushy Creek Crossing is a retail center located on Hudson Road between Old Spartanburg Road and Brushy Creek Road in the Greer community in Greenville County, South Carolina. It was constructed and opened between late 1991 and early 1992. It is anchored by a supermarket, Bi-Lo #5274, and a drugstore, CVS #4153.

Bi-Lo #5274 opened as store 274. It underwent expansion in 1999 to add a cafe to the delicatessen. It was updated in 2010. Store 274 became store 5274 after Bi-Lo acquired Winn-Dixie, and all Bi-Lo stores were renumbered into the 5000's.
Bi-Lo #5274 is reported to have undergone another update. It will be re-introduced to the trade area in a ceremony Thursday, 1 September 2016.

CVS #4153 originally opened as a Revco. It became CVS #4153 after CVS acquired Revco in 1997.
I would indeed suspect they are trying to counter competition from the new Lowe's Foods opening soon. And since other nearby Bi-Lo locations have recently closed, this store must be upgrading to remain a viable presence in the trade area.
BI-LO still has too many stores (3) it seems along that 3 mile stretch of E North St/Old Spartanburg Rd. North Hills (2435 E North St); 3715 E North St and the Brushy Creek store. They need to close one more.
Most likely the one in the middle in that old A&P Sav-a Center at 3715 E North. That old shopping center on that corner is ripe for redevelopment into something else like apartments for example.

Instead of updating itself every five or ten years, Bi-Lo #5274 needs to plan for the future. It should be adding a pharmacy if CVS #4107 relocates nearby to a freestanding store. It should be ready if another supermarket participant enters the trade area (i.e. Publix at Eastgate Village).

Bi-Lo stores 5092, Vaughn's at East North, Greenville, South Carolina 29615-2302, and 5195, North Hills, 2435 East North Street, Greenville, South Carolina 29615-1400, were the oldest stores in Bi-Lo's Greenville East district. I assume the district is intact in the Bi-Lo West region. Bi-Lo #5092 is vital for having a pharmacy and district offices. If one store has to close, I think Bi-Lo #5195 would be the store to close.
Bank of America #7065, Brushy Creek Crossing, 2010 Old Spartanburg Road, Greer, South Carolina 29650-2761
I heard Bank of America #7065 may be replaced by a freestanding CVS #4153.
It appears Bank of America #7065 has closed. Bank of America has closed several locations chain-wide.
