Railfest, Greer, South Carolina (2016-09-10) (Piedmont, North: home, safety, trains)

I am noticing the city of Greer is having its first annual Railfest at Greer City Park.

Although model trains and rail safety will be part of the exhibitions, I would be eager to know more about the railroad history in the Greer area from the Southern and Piedmont & Northern railways to the present Norfolk Southern and CSX.

Can't tell you anything about the festival, but I drove by there on my way home today and it appeared there were a lot of people in the morning, and on my way home in the afternoon.

Railfest had a crowd. It was not bad.

CSX Police Department, Hub City Railroad Museum, Norfolk Southern Police, and South Carolina Railroad Museum had noticeable stations outside.
