The 36-acre Judson Mill site, 701 Easley Bridge Road, Greenville, South Carolina 29611-5123, may see redevelopment into 190,000 square feet of office, warehouse and light manufacturing space, 402,800 square feet of residential space for up to 400 apartments, and 60,000 square feet of retail space for a grocery store and/or a pharmacy. A two-level parking garage for 400 vehicles would be constructed.

Milliken and Company closed the Judson plant in 2015. ("Milliken and Company Closing Judson Plant in Greenville, South Carolina.")

Image: Judson Mill site plan

Commercial space would be along Easley Bridge Road. "Building 7" would be ideal for a supermarket with a pharmacy. I wonder how doable Harris Teeter, Publix, or Walmart Neighborhood Market would be for that location.

It looks like this development will happen.

I have been driving by that site for years and never realized it was a textile mill.

Hopefully this will lead to the DOT adding a median on that stretch of 123 and some turn lanes at traffic lights, and burying the power lines or moving the poles that are so close to the road.

Easley Bridge Road being four lanes without a center turn lane from Traction Street/Saint Francis Drive to North Washington Avenue/South Washington Avenue is bad. A center turn lane will be necessary with the redevelopment of Judson Mill.
