We are looking to get married the weekend of May 6, 2017 in the Greenville/Spartanburg area. At first we planned to elope. Now we are thinking of doing a very intimate ceremony of just family (around 20-25) people. I'm looking for a venue in Greenville or Spartanburg that is cheap or free that is an outdoor garden type setting. I am also looking for a restaurant that could host a dinner party following the ceremony. I'd appreciate any ideas anyone has!!
Thanks so much!!
Amy

Greenville and Spartanburg are two separate areas.

In Greenville, there are Falls Park's River Lodge/Old Mill Garden and Cleveland Park's Rock Quarry Garden. Both locations are operated through the City of Greenville, South Carolina, Parks and Recreation Department.

In Spartanburg, Hatcher Garden and Woodland Preserve, 820 John B. White Sr. Boulevard, Spartanburg, South Carolina 29306-4043, may be a nice option. I do not know if outdoor weddings have been conducted at Milliken's Roger Milliken Campus.

Don't know about this place first hand, but it seems very nice. Something you may want to check in to:

Clevedale Historic Inn & Gardens

I'm sure there are a lot more options.

One option, though I don't think there is a actual garden to walk around:

Friend of my nieces just got married at, I think the name of it is, The Old Cigar Factory? Pics made it look like a nice place, but that's the extent of what I know.

It may be helpful for you to define your idea of "cheap." Wherever you choose, you need to call and book NOW. Many places are already booked for April/May as that is smack in the middle of wedding season.

Was at Hatcher Gardens in Spartanburg the other day, mentions they do weddings there as well.
