Edit - OK.. WTF.. I just read the other topic.. Are there going to be TWO oil change places there? One where little pigs was and one in front of Ingles?
My guess was Ingles Gas in the other thread.

Same with the BI-LO across the street. That store looks dead much of the time. Looks like it has less than half the business it used to have. Maybe Ingles will make the investment in the Mauldin store because they are anticipating further problems for BI-LO and some increased business from the closing of the Bi-LO on the other side of town at Butler and Woodruff.

No, there will be one oil change service center in front of Whatley Square. That will be Take 5 Oil Change, 110 West Butler Road, Mauldin, South Carolina 29662-2535.

The construction of Ingle's Gas Express is underway at Ingle's #42. The ground is being prepared for the underground storage tanks for fuel products.

Ingle's #42 has lagged behind BI-LO #5188, Butler Square, 207 West Butler Road, Mauldin, South Carolina 29662-2536, and Publix #1012, Mauldin Square, 111 West Butler Road, Mauldin, South Carolina 29662-2534. It is nice to see Ingle's Markets moving forward in improving Ingle's #42.

Ingle's Pharmacy #42 will not have a drive thru. Ingle's #42's layout does not allow for that. If the deli and bakery relocated in an expansion, a pharmacy drive thru lane could be doable.

Ingle's #42 should see an increase in business with its fuel points. Fuel points are earned in the store and the pharmacy, and are redeemed at any Ingle's Gas Express and I-Market location.

Honestly I see Walmart dropping a Neighborhood market store in this area sometime in the near future and that will kill off somebody.

Is Walmart in position to resume opening additional stores?

Walmart should drop one in on Augusta Rd right before you get to White Horse.

Raze that old shopping center and build a new store.. That place would do gangbusters.

I wonder regarding the long term future of BI-LO #5188 with Publix and Ingle's competing nearby. Seems like most BI-LO stores are declining or closing down.

BI-LO #5188, Butler Square, 207 West Butler Road, Mauldin, South Carolina 29662-2536, could close. The store is approaching or has passed thirty years of operation. Any supermarket competitor BI-LO has is present in Mauldin.

Work on Ingle's Pharmacy #42 should begin soon. The pharmacy will locate where the wine section is located presently. This section was the video rental department initially. The wine section will relocate to the aisles. After the wine section has been relocated, the area will be sealed off for construction of the pharmacy. Construction could take approximately five months.

Ingle's #16, 426 South Main Street, Belton, South Carolina 29627-1524, is what Ingle's #42 will look like after the pharmacy opens.
