We got ours from Rainbow Symphony Store (which isn't taking more orders at the moment) which I trusted more than ones off of Amazon. We also got our solar binoculars (Celestron Eclipsmart 10x42, which seem really well built) earlier this week. It was neat to see the sunspot that recently formed, as an added bonus. As it gets closer, more places might have them, but if you want to be sure you're ready, order online and not leave it up to chance.
I'm crossing my fingers the weather will be good. We'll be driving 13 hours into town the day before and I'd really really really like to just go plop myself out on the front yard rather than having to drive somewhere else for a clear sky.
Good article from NASA about glass safety. Talks about making sure that the manufacturer of the glasses is certified. ...
This is a great resource! Thanks! Interactive Google map near the bottom of page for full eclipse path. List the only 4 manufacturers that are ISO certified for eclipse glasses (Rainbow Symphony, American Paper Optics, Thousand Oaks Optical, and TSE 17), the first two are on Amazon.
