Looks like they are closing all of their campuses across the South. Anybody have any insight into why? They seemed to be one of the success stories staring from Greenville.

I wonder if The Iron Yard expanded too quickly and exhausted its resources.

From what someone told me, the VCs with the most ownership didn't think their growth (financially) was aggressive enough.

Good article - I think that explains it. I didn't realize that the Iron yard was run by Phoenix university.

They were bought out and then tanked. Red flags went up awhile back when they closed a few locations.

I ALMOST left my job in Iowa and attended Greenville. Glad I didn't take the plunge now. Still looking into coding schools though to see if it fits me.

Opening a quantity of locations abruptly can increase expenses. If a gradual approach was taken to open each location gradually and allow them to be profitable, growth could be healthier.
