Hi! My dog and I recently moved to Greenville from Austin, Tx. My Aussie loves to run and play with other dogs, and there were ample opportunities for that at the multiple dogs parks in Austin. Since relocating las week, I've only come up with one in this area- the Conastee Dog Park 20 minutes from Greenville. My question is, are there any unofficial dog parks closer to Greenville? Places that folks take their dogs to play off-leash that aren't really policed? Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you so much!!

Welcome! My son will soon be moving in the oppostie direction! I'm not sure where you are coming from; the dog park at Lake Conestee is only about 10 minutes from downtown. However, there is also a dog park at Pelham Mill Park:https://greenvillerec.com/parks/pelham-mill-park/

Hi! I bet your son will love Austin! Thanks for the tip. On maps, Pelham looked further than Conestee. I'm coming from San Souci, so Conestee looked pretty far. I'll adjust eventually!

Yes it looks like you are pretty far from the parks, but at least our traffic isn't Austin traffic!

Hopefully there will be a dog park included in the new west end park along the Reedy River. Not going to be there for a while, but it has been a few years since the city shut down the one at Cleveland Park.
