The city was hot and heavy getting bids for this elevated personal pod direct to destination driverless transportation. Then GSP airport was looking to install it. What happened? This would be the coolest thing to come to Greenville. Who wants it? What’s your opinion?

I worked on the Westinghouse Skybus system for Tampa back in 1969. That went from aircraft end of the terminal to the lobby. I don't know why they don't all have them. A route to the parking lot would be a natural. No need for individual pods, this was the size of a small bus. I don't know if it is still there.
Personal transit pods: Yes, please. Now.
No need to be elevated; take one existing lane for driverless pods. That will be the lane with zero traffic backups, and people will start getting the idea. Personal cars will never die, but efficient transport will move forward without them. (I love my car, but I hate traffic more.)
Think I would rather see the driverless buses like Bloomington Ind. is now testing. They would hold more people and do more to reduce traffic than single taxis.

Yep TIA still has the tram systems and they are great. I used to love as a kid going out to the terminals and watching the planes land. We didnt have a/c in our house down there till like 1988 and it was free a/c and entertainment for my parents back then. The city also had a tram/skyway system downtown if memory serves me correctly.
