Anyone have experience with this group? I saw two houses that I'm interested in renting, but before I call them tomorrow I thought I'd see if I could get some info from you all. Any idea if they allow pets at all?

My husband and I rented from them and have met several other people who rented from them. They do allow pets - at least with some of their properties, I don't know about all. I don't know what the pet deposit is, we didn't have a pet when we lived there.
We really enjoyed renting from them the whole time we were there and told them so and multiple occasions. They were great about changing air filters and all that. However, before we moved in someone warned us that when it came to moving out - it was 100% impossible to get your full deposit back. I thought they were just being callused and ignored the warning. But they were VERY MUCH correct. When we left the house looked BETTER than it had before we moved in and Hinson even complimented us for the great upkeep of the property - so you can imagine my surprise when I didn't get my full deposit back.
Apparently they repaint EVERY home before putting it back on the market and they take the $ out of your deposit! They also took out money for things like cleaning the garage floor - which my husband did before we moved. There were some grease spots but they were there when we moved in and hey it's a garage! Anyway - just keep in mind that you WON'T get all of your deposit back no matter how spotless the house is.
OH - plus you are required to turn in a receipt showing proof that you had the carpets professionally cleaned upon move out! So not only do you not get your whole deposit, but you have to fork out money for cleaning carpets.
