What's happening in September? (Greenville, Travelers Rest: credit card, hotels, deals)

We were planning to come for another visit to the Travelers Rest area in September, and found that both hotels in town are booked solid. Is there some big event in town then? Would it be quieter if we wait to come in October?

Thanks, beckycat. Unfortunately, AirBnb won't let me sign up. They decided my social media presence wasn't active enough to verify my identity. I may try VRBO and see if that will work.

Wow, that's weird. I know you can verify by email as well. Airbnb has better deals than VRBO.

Yeah, they charged my credit card, had me upload a photo, and verified my email. Then they said it wasn't enough and had me link my Facebook. That wasn't active enough, so they wanted me to record and upload a video. I decided it wasn't worth the effort at that point and gave up.
