Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Onion Rings: Fast Food Onion Rings: Popeye's has some amazing ones. I also like Sonic's onion rings and Arby's were pretty tasty.

Oh wow!
I had forgotten to inform everyone that I tried the onion rings at The Clock on Congaree (and we got some fried mushrooms) - and they were VERY good. They're not something I would dare eat often, but they hit the spot!
Now that this thread has resurfaced, I am craving them again. Where next?
THANK YOU AGAIN!

I finally found a good frozen onion ring worthy of eating. Nathan’s Thick Sliced Onion Rings. Not as good as The Clock, but pretty good.

On a side note, I'd love to know of places around the Upstate that offer good fried okra. My benchmark is Soul Fish Cafe in Memphis. The closest recipe/method I've found in the Upstate is the Big Clock of Powdersville.
I can't vouch for it being good but Low Country Shrimper in Mauldin has fried okra.

We like Cookout and Bad Daddy's onion rings. I'm sure there are others but those are what comes to mind.

I like Sonic ones. The batter seems to have a little bit of a sweet funnel cake type of taste to me. BK is pretty good too if they are hot and fresh and their O-ring zesty dipping sauce.

I usually buy the Publix brand frozen ones. Not too bad.
