It is a BAD school. My daughter was a student there and was harassed daily by a gang of girls. I spent many hours away from my job trying to get the administration to do something but they never did. All I got was lip service. The harassment became so bad that my daughter had a nervous breakdown. Their response----she will just have to grow up and get over it. She is going to be picked on daily because she is overweight. They also informed me that the only way she would not be picked on is if she lost weight. I pulled my child out of that HELL HOLE and home schooled her. She has still has severe emotional problems because of the treatment she received at that terrible school.

I am sorry your daughter had that experience. The experience at WHHS for our son was terrific.

I wish a developer would come in and build a mixed-use development on that property. There are several facant store fronts and an empty parking lot where the movie theater used to be. Would be a perfect location for such a development. Too bad it's in the county. The city would of revitalized it by now.

I love this town. The whole system must be run by Skyliner et al.

Actually, Greenville is run by much greater leaders than myself. They are visionaries who truly have an interest in the wellbeing of the people in this community, as I have shared in another thread.

I think this thread has been hijacked long enough though.

I know your pain. You are not alone even though I know that it feels like you are at the moment. There are Thousands more that are at home suffering in silence. Write about it. It will help to ease your suffering and help someone else not to make the same horrable mistakes.
I will keep you in my thoughts

LOL @ the negative comments. I found the teacher's perspective to be helpful and also that of p2y2r70 regarding which kids hung out downtown. Very interesting! It will be a long time before I think about high school since my baby isn't even born yet!! If anyone can link me to a good thread about elementary schools, I would very much appreciate it. Going to skim through the forum right now to see what I can find...
