The Five Forks Bi-Lo Has a sign now that says it’s closing. I expected this to happen but it’s still sad. I hope something great goes in there since we live around the corner. Maybe what ever goes I. There could include a post office. We need one.

It’s been discussed else where, Food Lion will be acquiring that store so nothing too exciting.

It was on the list of stores acquired by Food Lion. Some of the stores are already starting to close and will be restocked, signage changed and reopened as Food Lion in Feb.

I’d hate to to be the store manager of the Easley KJ’s watching all that product in the deli going out of date and being thrown out!

What happens to the rest of the bilo that have not been purchased yet? Will they close down? I really like their chek soda.

I would think so. Time seems to be running out for them to be picked up at this point. The Mauldin warehouse is going to Ahold too.

I like the Chek sodas also. Even though the Food Lion brand in the caffeine free which is what I drink is good IMO. For some reason just don't prefer the taste of the Publix brand soda.

I had heard that some Bi-Lo's will remain. AFAIK, the one in Travelers Rest isn't slated to close or become a Food Lion.

I also enjoy the Chek soda. It tastes as good as the national brands and is very affordably priced. It is a Winn-Dixie legacy brand inherited by BI-LO. So it is still sold at Winn-Dixie if you venture down to Florida or Alabama. But some of the cheap Great Value sodas at Walmart are good also, and they have a Diet Mountain Dew version among others.
