It isn't really written like it's the largest economic development in the state. I mean big for sure. I wonder if they are keeping today's inflated numbers in mind, and maybe that's why they didn't write it as such. I mean, there are well over 10000+ people at BMW on one site. What would an investment like that equate to in today's dollars. I mean, we have to think. Even the County Square project is 1 billion, and it isn't a plant. If you didn't mention it I wouldn't have known about it.

You wouldn’t have known about it because none of your local news sources mentioned the $3.5 billion announcement, nor the record-breaking Boeing order.

Actually, I did see it mentioned on the news, but I dont recall which station I was watching at the time, but paid little attention to it since it will have little or no impact on the upstate.

The Post and Courier reports on big economic news for the state, no matter what part.

A google to see again how the P&C covered the Redwood announcement revealed the words “record” and “record-breaking.” And, actually, it also brought up an article at thestate dot com from two days ago.

So? My comment was directed to your statement about noone local carrrying the story, not anything else.

Sorry. I focused on the newspaper aspect in my comment because of the thread title.

Who was the news anchor you heard it from? Not Lester Holt?

I dont recall, it was local to the upstate though. Had to be either the local Fox (21) or WSPA (7) channel.

I pay $13.99 a month for the Post and Courier, which includes the Charleston, Greenville, Columbia and Myrtle Beach editions. It’s a great deal.
Yes I know. I have a digital subscription to The Charlotte Observer which includes a print edition replica and expanded Extra section with more national content. The digital edition of The State paper from Columbia also includes this Extra section as a sister McClatchy publication and historically The State paper has more coverage of SC politics and government.

The Greenville News is owned by Gannett, along with The Spartanburg Herald Journal and The Anderson Independent Mail. The State paper from Columbia and The Charlotte Observer are both owned by McClatchy.
