Recommendations? My dad got approved for a mortgage but we are comparison shopping. Would love input and I am sure others would too.

We had a mortgage with BB&T before we moved here (just sold our home in NC and paid it off), and were very happy with the experience. However, we got the mortgage 10 years ago and haven't shopped for one since.

what exactly do you consider to be a good mortage lender? low closing costs, low % rate, the ability to get you a loan with marginal credit?

Optimal combination of fees and interest for someone with excellent credit and adequate assets.
