I will be in Spartanburg this weekend to attend a VOLVO car show. Can anyone tell me things to do in the area and what to look out for?

Not even close, bs3844. Just check out the photos posted in this thread as partial evidence. Like Greenville, Spartanburg's downtown has definitely improved from its previous condition, but it is not in the same league at this point, in terms of overall amenities, pedestrian traffic, and public spending. This does not mean that the potential does not exist, just that Greenville is way ahead at this point.

My only reaction to that statement: BAHAHAHA. Regarding the OP's question, check out this website: http://www.visitspartanburg.com/NEW/index.php (broken link) It should help you.

I care because the statement was a lie and the op knows nothing about the area. Just want them to get the truth.

Seriously though, make the short treck to Downtown Greenville. It'll be worth the time. It's s great city with many more options.

Seriously, if it is someone’s opinion that Spartanburg has a nicer downtown area, why would you call them a liar and tell them they are on drugs? If I said my favorite color is blue and yours’ is red, would you call me a liar

Let people have their opinions. If you don’t agree with it fine, but don’t act like a third grader about it.

Just having a little fun...Happy Friday to You Too!

The point is, the OP knows nothing of the area and 999,999 people out of a million would disagree with bs3488. Perhaps we now know what "bs" stands for. Just kidding....geeze...
