Moving to easley next month, anyone use anything other than charter? I noticed a company called Northland Cable Television handles some areas near Easley.Seneca, Liberty, Anderson. Anyone know if they service the easley area? any help is appreciated. Also how are the utility companies out there? anything I should know??
I don't know if Northland comes that far into Easley--I kind of wish they did. I just used them for my mother in law in Seneca and it appeared to be a small company. They actually had a human answer the phone--ha! I was applying for service in an assisted living community but she said we have 2 packages to choose from. Thought I would die laughing--at least it wasn't a hard choice. My husband uses Bellsouth dsl at his shop and he has no problems. I still use Charter. Sheri can tell you who the utilities will be--probably Combined utility or Blue Ridge. I have had both and no complaints.
I live in Easley and have had Dish Network for almost 2 years now. No complaints here. It's only gone out a handful of times during storms and comes back on right away (except when the satellite dish was covered in ice and snow last February.)
Cable does not go everywhere in Easley. I am out 8 near 88. We have direct tv. Utilities are duke electric and southside water. No issues. We use bellsouth/att for dsl/phone. Welcome to the area!
I believe that the utilities out there are Easley Combined Utilities (for electric, sewer, and water) I will confirm that for you tomorrow. Also, don't forget to wait until right after closing to transfer them in your name!
Update: Thanks for the replies. I e-mailed Northland cable company, and was surprised when about a half an hour later, my phone rang and an actual person was calling to verify my address to see if I could get cable. I couldn't get it in my area(they only service a small portion of easley)but I would highly recommend that those w/any service they are unhappy with in the easley/seneca/liberty area check this cable company out, they are very friendly and take the time to help you out in any way possible!
